Course Content

Our BSL Level Two Course dives deeper into the intricacies of British Sign Language, focusing on intermediate level vocabulary, grammar, and conversation skills. You will learn how to hold more complex conversations, express your thoughts and opinions, and understand a wider range of sign language variations.

What is the duration of each course?

The duration of each course varies:

Beginner course typically spanning over 4 weeks.

BSL Level 1 requires 64 guided learning hours.

BSL Level 2 Requires 100 guided learning hours.

BSL Level 3 requires 150 guided learning hours.

Each course can be tailored to suit your availability.

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling on a course?

There are no prerequisites for our Beginner Course, but prior exposure to sign language can be generally beneficial.

For levels 1-3 that include an assessment, BSL competence standards require for learners to have sufficient sight, manual dexterity, facial and body movements to produce and receive BSL. Level 3 requires you to have passed level 2 before joining.

How can I assess my progress during the course?

Progress assessments are conducted periodically to track your development and provide feedback for improvement.
